Class code
ENHSChord symbols
A letter is the root. Nothing after it means major; m or min means minor; 7 means a dominant 7th; maj7 keeps the major 7th; dim and aug are diminished and augmented.

Slash chords
C/E means a C chord with E in the bass - useful for smooth bass lines.
Form markings
Charts are usually written in sections with repeats. Learn the shorthand and one page can carry a whole arrangement.
